Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team at the York Region District School Board. As an Administrative Assistant, you will provide administrative support to our staff and ensure the smooth operation of our office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to staff, including answering phone calls, responding to emails, and preparing correspondence
  • Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date records and files
  • Coordinate travel arrangements, meetings, and events
  • Perform data entry and other administrative tasks as required
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with staff, students, and parents

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a post-secondary program for administrative assistants
  • 1 year of formal experience in clerical and secretarial work
  • Other combinations of education, training, and experience may be considered
