Ameresco is seeking a dynamic Business Developer to join our team in Ontario, CN.
In this role, you will be instrumental in the marketing, promotion, and sales of a comprehensive array of clean energy solutions tailored to meet operational demands. Your efforts will be crucial in fostering business growth and expanding our market presence through the acquisition of new clientele and the establishment of strategic alliances.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identify and engage with C-level executives to explore opportunities related to aging infrastructure, sustainability, operational efficiency, and financial optimization.
- Develop and implement effective strategies to enhance sales activities and achieve annual performance targets.
- Prepare and deliver compelling proposals and presentations that effectively communicate our value proposition.
- Oversee the creation of both preliminary and final proposals, ensuring alignment with client needs.
- Represent Ameresco at industry conferences, trade shows, and public events to elevate brand awareness.
- Assist in drafting contract documents and ensure thorough understanding of proposal and contract terms.
- Collaborate with Project Management and Operations teams to facilitate smooth implementation processes.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to foster long-term partnerships.
- Perform additional duties as necessary to support the team.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in managing complex sales for integrated building infrastructure projects.
- A technical background with the ability to articulate and demonstrate proposed solutions effectively.
- Proven success in securing sales from senior management, including the development of financial models to address various operational needs.
- A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience with ongoing professional development in the industry preferred.
- Demonstrated skills in lead generation, account management, negotiation, and closing sales.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, along with proficiency in MS Office Suite and Salesforce.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining positive business relationships.
- A valid Driver's License in good standing is required.
- Willingness to undergo a security clearance investigation if necessary.
