Closing the Gap Healthcare Group is dedicated to providing Canadians with exceptional care across a wide range of home-based and community services. As a leader in the home and community care industry, we are pioneering a unique paid healthcare education program.

We are excited to relaunch our Home Support Worker Paid Training Program for the third year in a row. This program offers paid virtual classroom training, paid on-the-job training, and employment opportunities to compassionate and independent individuals looking to enter the healthcare field.

What You'll Learn
  • Gain valuable insights into the benefits of providing home care and working within clients' homes. Develop your healthcare skills by coordinating with clients and their families, effectively addressing their diverse care needs.
  • Master best-in-class knowledge regarding home care and service plans to assist individuals with daily living routines. This includes support with feeding, lifting and transferring, dressing and undressing, respite care, peri-care, bathing, personal hygiene, and safe bathroom use. You'll also receive training in household management, nutrition, and food preparation.
  • Learn to identify potential healthcare issues using basic assessment strategies and effectively report your findings.
  • Understand the crucial role Home Support Workers play as part of a multi-disciplinary care team.

Qualifications
  • Access to a reliable vehicle and a valid driver's license
