Sony Pictures Imageworks is a leading visual effects company that values diversity and inclusion. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Experienced Visual Effects Artist to join our team.

About the Role

As a Senior Environment Artist, you will be responsible for creating high-quality digital matte paintings that meet the creative direction of our productions. You will work closely with our Environment Supervisor or Matte Painting Lead to ensure that your work meets the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and create digital matte paintings using live action elements, still photography, concept art, rendered CG elements, and digital painted elements.
  • Collaborate with the production team to ensure that your work meets the creative vision and technical requirements of the project.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of our production pipeline and tools, including Photoshop, Maya, and Nuke.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in visual effects and matte painting.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in VFX or feature films.
  • Strong knowledge of Photoshop, Maya, and Nuke.
  • Experience with other tools such as Katana, Mari, Houdini, Speedtree, or Linux is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
