About the Role

The House of Commons Human Resources Services is seeking a highly skilled Senior HR Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our HR team, you will play a critical role in shaping and implementing our service delivery model for Members' HR Services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Service Delivery: Develop and implement customized HR services tailored to the needs of Members and their offices.
  • Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with Members and their staff, providing expert advice and guidance on HR matters.
  • HR Program Development: Create and implement core HR programs that meet the needs of parliamentary clients with common interests.
  • Labour Relations: Provide expert advice on complex HR and labour relations cases and issues, prioritizing the protection of clients' careers, reputations, and the institution's integrity.
Requirements
  • Education: University degree in human resource management, business administration, organizational development, or labour relations.
  • Experience: Broad experience in managing or leading HR services delivery to executives or senior officials, fostering trust relationships, and building business relationships with senior officials.
  • Skills: Comprehensive experience researching and providing sound advice on the resolution of complex and sensitive HR issues and complaints, as well as in-depth knowledge of human resource management concepts, theories, and principles.
