Job Summary
We are seeking a highly qualified Nursing Instructor to join our team at Saskatchewan Polytechnic. As a Nursing Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching, coaching, and supervising nursing students in classroom, lab, and clinical settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Participate in the development, maintenance, and revision of curriculum.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a high-quality learning experience for students.
- Travel may be required to participate in program, campus, and industry activities.
Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities
- Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing or a related field.
- Eligible for registration (active status) with the Saskatchewan Registered Nurses' Association.
- Minimum of two years recent and relevant clinical/teaching experience in medical-surgical nursing.
- Current TLR certificate (participant level).
- Effective communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to apply medical-surgical and pediatric-obstetrical nursing principles and adult education theories.
- Small group facilitation skills and instructional ability.
- Ability to arrange, maintain, and evaluate resources.
- Demonstrates valuing diversity.
