Position Summary
We are seeking a Building Automation Solutions (BAS) Technical Support Specialist to join our dedicated team. This role involves collaborating with various departments to deliver exceptional technical support to our clients. The ideal candidate will possess strong experience with Niagara systems and will be responsible for addressing high-level technical inquiries via phone and email, as well as conducting potential onsite visits.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert guidance on the use of Distech Controls products and solutions.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues through online or phone support.
- Maintain accurate records in the customer database and document all interactions.
- Contribute to the company knowledge base by creating and updating support articles.
- Collaborate with product development teams to relay customer feedback and suggestions.
- Stay informed about new technologies and industry trends relevant to our product line.
- Assist in improving internal processes and tools used by the support team.
- Offer field support as necessary.
Qualifications
- University degree or college diploma in a relevant field, or 5-8 years of equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience with HVAC systems and NiagaraAX/4 Framework.
- Proven experience in the installation and configuration of Building Automation Systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with control system protocols such as BacNet, LonWorks, and Modbus.
- Knowledge of access control and lighting systems.
- Experience in IT systems and networking.
