Job Summary

As a key member of the Acuity Brands team, the Building Automation Training Manager will play a crucial role in providing training services to customers worldwide. Reporting to the Technical Support & Training Director, this individual will collaborate with various teams to deliver high-quality training experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver training programs for customers on the programming of controllers and software for building automation systems.
  • Manage training equipment, workstations, and software to ensure a seamless training experience.
  • Improve internal processes and tools within the department to enhance training efficiency.
  • Create and update training materials and support tools for customers.
  • Develop new content for training courses and stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies.
  • Communicate customer feedback to the development team to inform product improvements.
  • Assist in the development of online training (e-learning) and other training projects.
Requirements
  • Practical training/trainer qualifications required.
  • University degree or technical certificate in HVAC/controls or relevant experience in technical training.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in technical training, technical writing, HVAC systems, Niagara environments, building automation, instrumentation and controls, information systems, and programming.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to give presentations to large crowds and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Valid passport for international travel (up to 50% travel).
