As a key member of the Acuity Brands team, the Building Automation Training Manager will play a crucial role in providing training services to customers worldwide. Reporting to the Technical Support & Training Director, this individual will collaborate with various teams to deliver high-quality training experiences.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and deliver training programs for customers on the programming of controllers and software for building automation systems.
- Manage equipment, workstations, and software required for training in a virtual machine environment and physically.
- Improve internal processes and tools within the department to enhance training efficiency.
- Create and update training materials and support tools for customers.
- Develop new content for training courses and stay up-to-date with new technologies and products in the field.
- Communicate customer feedback to the development team and assist in the development of online training and other projects.
- Practical training/trainer qualifications required.
- University degree or technical certificate in HVAC/controls or relevant experience in technical training.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in technical training, technical writing, HVAC systems, Niagara environments, building automation, instrumentation and controls, information systems, and programming.
- Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills.
- Ability to give presentations, handle multiple tasks, and demonstrate a positive attitude.
- Valid passport for travel (up to 50% travel to the US).
