Job Title: TIG Welder

We are seeking a skilled TIG welder to join our team at Velocity Machining & Welding Inc. As a TIG welder, you will be responsible for welding metal parts and products using the Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) process.

Job Description:
  • Job Type: Permanent

Work Environment:
  • Work Site Environment: Outdoors, at heights, cold/refrigerated, confined spaces, dusty, hot, noisy, odours
  • Work Setting: Commercial, industrial, manufacture, relocation costs not covered by employer
Responsibilities:
  • Interpret Welding Process Specifications: Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes
  • Operate Manual or Semi-Automatic Welding Equipment: Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment
  • Examine Welds: Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications
  • Operate Flame-Cutting Equipment: Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment
  • Computer-Aided Design (CAD): Computer-aided design (CAD)
  • Operate Metal Shaping and Bending Machines: Operate brakes, shears and other metal shaping, straightening and bending machines
  • Fit, Braze and Torch-Straighten Metal: Fit, braze and torch-straighten metal
  • Operate Oxygen Arc Cutting Equipment: Operate oxygen arc cutting equipment (arc-air), (AOC)
  • Determine Weldability of Materials: Determine weldability of materials
  • Operate Hoisting and Lifting Equipment: Operate hoisting and lifting equipment
  • Maintain and Repair Welding Equipment: Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing and soldering equipment
