Job Title: TIG Welder

We are seeking a skilled TIG welder to join our team at Velocity Machining & Welding Inc. As a TIG welder, you will be responsible for welding a variety of metals using the Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) process.

Responsibilities:
  • Interpret welding process specifications and operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment.
  • Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes.
  • Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications.
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment and computer-aided design (CAD) software.
  • Determine weldability of materials and operate hoisting and lifting equipment.
  • Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing and soldering equipment.
Requirements:
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Pressure Welding Certification
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
  • Welder Trade Red Seal Certificate
  • Fall Arrest Protection Training Course
  • Forklift Operator Certification
Work Environment:

Our work site environment includes working outdoors, at heights, in cold/refrigerated conditions, and in confined spaces. We also work with dusty, hot, noisy, and odorous environments.

Additional Information:

We offer a fast-paced work environment with repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, and physically demanding work. Overtime is required, and you will be required to stand for extended periods. You will also be required to wear steel-toed safety boots, a hard hat, mask, face shield, and welding helmet.
