About the Role:
B+H Architects is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to join our dynamic team in Toronto. As a Project Manager, you will play a key role in leading our multi-disciplined team to deliver large-scale healthcare projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Negotiate, develop, monitor, and control the scope of deliverables, work plans, schedules, and budgets for all project stages.
- Work with Operations Manager to determine project staffing needs and recommend team members, coordinate staffing and workload through the entire project life cycle to ensure completion of deliverables on schedule.
- Develop a detailed work plan for all architectural disciplines, allocate hours to the work plan, and monitor project progress.
- Lead an integrated team of architects in the quality assurance and quality control procedures for all deliverables, specifically the construction drawings and specifications.
- Coordinate with contractor, sub-consultants, and/or relevant building authorities to address and document issues with constructability or owner concerns.
- Act as the primary liaison with the client, contractor, and project team and ensure close client relationships are maintained.
Requirements:
- 10-15 years of architectural project work experience.
- Minimum 7 years experience in healthcare projects.
- Familiarity with PMI framework and standard industry practices for project management.
- Architectural systems design and presentation, permit and building code experience.
- Experience in strategic development, project management, and client management is required.
- Possess excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, flexibility, and resourcefulness.
- A strong understanding of project accounting is required in order to monitor project performance and forecast revenue.
- Registered with a relevant professional association is an asset.
- PMP certification is an asset.
