Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director, GB - IT Strategy & Planning to lead our technology strategy and drive innovation in our Group Benefits business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement technology strategies that enable Manulife's Group Benefits to deliver innovative digital experiences to our customers.
  • Collaborate with Group Benefits Product Partners and Directors of Engineering to develop and implement technology solutions that drive business growth.
  • Align technology strategy, plans, and implementation with Group Benefits business goals.
  • Identify and exploit internal best practices to drive technical excellence.
  • Provide leadership and direction to a team of technology professionals.
  • Coordinate all aspects of technology for the Group Benefits unit, ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks.
  • Partner with key stakeholders to ensure solutions meet industry risk practices.
  • Establish operating and investment budgets within the work area, consistent with short and long-term Group Benefits financial goals.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, management of information systems, or equivalent.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical issues into fundamental concepts.
  • Confident presentation and facilitation skills, with strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to deliver actionable recommendations based on analysis.
What We Offer
  • A competitive salary range of $100,000 - $200,070 CAD.
