Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer medications via intramuscular, subcutaneous, and intravenous routes in home or specialized clinic environments.
  • Oversee and support the administration of intravenous infusion therapies in both clinic and homecare settings.
  • Monitor and document post-injection and infusion responses, ensuring compliance with established protocols and professional nursing documentation standards.
  • Provide educational support to patients, either individually or in group settings, in accordance with program guidelines.
  • Report any adverse events or product complaints as per established training and policies.
  • Maintain reliable availability to fulfill the operational needs of the business unit and meet nursing performance indicators.
  • Coordinate effectively with patients, case managers, physicians, and other departments to ensure timely scheduling of appointments and treatments.
  • Conduct administrative tasks, including monthly clinic audits and supply management, as assigned.
  • Engage in regular team meetings and training sessions to uphold and enhance professional practice standards.
  • Participate in specialized training sessions related to client needs as required.
  • Consult with healthcare professionals regarding the education and implementation of product-specific programs.
  • Travel within designated regions to meet operational requirements.
  • Adhere to all nursing and clinic standard operating procedures and health and safety regulations.
  • Complete ongoing education and training as outlined in the training matrix.
  • Uphold professional nursing standards as dictated by regulatory bodies and company policies.
  • Perform additional duties as required by the organization.
  • May be required to be on standby or on-call to address service needs.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Registered Practical Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse.
  • Experience with intravenous therapy is advantageous.
  • Possess a diploma or university degree in nursing or a related field.
  • Current registration with the provincial licensing authority and a valid CPR certification.
  • Experience in acute care, inpatient, outpatient, or homecare settings is preferred.
  • Certifications such as ACLS, PALS, MS, and CVAA, along with experience with central venous lines, are considered assets.
  • Proficient in using mobile devices for appointment management and communication.
  • Demonstrated excellent customer service skills in interactions with patients and healthcare teams.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision while being part of a larger team.
  • Willingness to travel to various clinics and homecare appointments within a defined geographical area.


Essential Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to use mobile devices for appointment scheduling and confirmations.
  • Flexibility to accommodate pre-scheduled and last-minute patient appointment requests.
  • Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to function both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Possess a valid, unrestricted driver's license and insurance coverage.
