Through youth driven community awareness and advocacy, Voices: Manitoba's Youth in Care Network is committed to engaging, equipping, and empowering youth in and from care.
Network Development: We meet with young people who have recently come into care, are currently in care, and those transitioning out of care to offer support, resources and understanding. We support the development of local networks throughout the province.
Resource Sharing: We work in collaboration with other community-based, youth-serving agencies to ensure that youth in and from care have access to the resources and supports they need to achieve their goals and grow and develop to their best potential.
Advocacy: At both individual and systemic levels, we work to ensure that the voices of young people are heard in decisions that affect their lives. We represent the perspectives of those with lived experience in Manitoba's child welfare system, raising awareness of the challenges faced and the strengths exhibited by the youth-in-care community.
