About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Cement Finisher to join our team at Omni Coating Ltd. as a key member of our operations team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fill hollows and remove spots on freshly poured cement to ensure a smooth finish.
  • Operate power vibrators to compact concrete and achieve the desired density.
  • Level top surface concrete according to grade and depth specifications to ensure accuracy and precision.
  • Impart a desired finish to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools, adhering to industry standards.
  • Install anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills, and other fixtures to ensure structural integrity.
  • Apply hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces, following established protocols.
  • Waterproof, damp proof, and restore surfaces to prevent damage and extend lifespan.
  • Repair, resurface, and replace worn or damaged sections of concrete structures, using specialized equipment and techniques.
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed to maintain a well-stocked inventory.
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed at all times, promoting a safe working environment.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Commercial, industrial, and residential work settings.
  • Excellent oral communication skills.
  • Team player with a strong work ethic.
  • Reliability and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Physical demands of the job include bending, crouching, kneeling, and working in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Steel-toed safety boots and hard hat.
  • English language proficiency.
  • 40 hours per week, with a permanent work term.
