Student Services Coordinator

About the Role:
The University of Toronto's Department of Civil & Mineral Engineering is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Student Services & Admissions Assistant to join their team. This is a full-time, one-year term position that will play a key role in supporting the department's mission and goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional service to students, faculty, and staff, ensuring a positive experience when interacting with the department.
- Act as the first point of contact for general inquiries, providing detailed information on admission requirements and program details.
- Coordinate the recruitment and training process for teaching assistants, verifying eligibility and maintaining accurate records.
- Support various aspects of program administration, including document management, filing, room bookings, and data entry.
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of departmental policies, rules, and regulations to provide accurate information to stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.
- Minimum two years of experience in a student services environment, with a preference for front-line experience.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to maintain productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work well under pressure and meet competing priorities and deadlines.
- Demonstrated customer service orientation, with the ability to address sensitive and confidential matters with tact and discretion.

The University of Toronto offers a comprehensive benefits package and a competitive salary range of $66,715 - $85,319, depending on experience.
