About The Curry Pot

We are a dynamic and fast-paced restaurant looking for a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Kitchen Helper. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our food preparation and service areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Sanitation
    • Ensure all dishes, utensils, and equipment are cleaned and sanitized to the highest standards.
    • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, including work surfaces, cupboards, and storage areas.
  • Food Preparation
    • Assist in the preparation and cooking of food items, including portioning, wrapping, and packaging.
    • Operate manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs.
  • Supply Management
    • Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
    • Replenish condiments and other supplies at tables and serving areas.
  • Waste Management
    • Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and ensure the area is kept clean and free of odors.
  • General Duties
    • Assist with loading and unloading buspans and trays.
    • Perform other tasks as required to support the smooth operation of the kitchen.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience
    • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a similar role.
  • Skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to lift heavy loads and stand for extended periods.
