About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Restaurant Host/Hostess to join our team at Swiss Chalet Mount Pearl. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for ensuring a warm and welcoming experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guest Services: Greet customers, address their complaints or concerns, and ensure their needs are met.
  • Seating and Reservations: Attend to seating arrangements for large groups, receive customers' reservations, and assign tables.
  • Opening and Closing Activities: Perform opening and closing duties, including preparing the dining area for service and ensuring a smooth transition between shifts.
  • Communication: Maintain excellent oral communication skills to effectively interact with customers, colleagues, and management.
Work Environment

As a Restaurant Host/Hostess at Swiss Chalet Mount Pearl, you will work in a fast-paced environment with a high volume of customers. You will be required to stand for extended periods, walk, and move quickly to respond to customer needs.

Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required.
  • Experience: Willingness to train and learn on the job.
  • Language: English is the primary language spoken in this role.
  • Work Hours: 30 to 35 hours per week.
