Job Summary:

Ainsworth (a GDI company) is seeking a highly skilled Refrigeration Technician Foreman to oversee assigned site branch installation projects. The successful candidate will report progress to the Installation Supervisor/Project Manager, ensuring safe, quality, and efficient service while maximizing profit and maintaining customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate installation or remodel jobs on-site, including installers and helpers, and provide supervision.
  • Diagnose water-leak complaints, remove cases from trucks without damage, and solder copper pipe.
  • Install PVC drainpipe, recognize major case types, locate and set superheat specifications, receive, uncrate, and properly hang blower coils.
  • Install orifice and thermostatic expansion valves, locate refrigeration leaks, and fabricate hangers, struts, and supports.
  • Maintain current knowledge of Hussmann new product developments, service bulletins, and issues.
  • Demonstrate an understanding and adherence to all work safety policies and procedures, including OSHA and local authorities governing requirements.
  • Ability to delegate tasks and motivate individuals, complete necessary documents, and develop and maintain excellent customer relations.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal guidance and direction, maintain and manage truck inventory, and coordinate installation or remodel jobs on-site.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of five years of experience in refrigeration installation.
  • Technical college diploma or certificate in refrigeration.
  • Valid Driver's license and a safe driving record.
  • Physically able to climb ladders, work at high elevations, and lift objects up to fifty pounds.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills, leadership, problem-solving, detail-oriented, highly motivated, and strong interpersonal skills.
