Job Summary:

Ainsworth (a GDI company) is seeking a skilled Refrigeration Technician Foreman to oversee installation projects and lead a team of installers and helpers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in refrigeration, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal guidance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate installation or remodel jobs on-site, ensuring safe and efficient service delivery.
  • Supervise installers and helpers, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Diagnose and repair refrigeration systems, including soldering copper pipe and installing orifice and thermostatic expansion valves.
  • Maintain current knowledge of Hussmann new product developments, service bulletins, and issues.
  • Develop and maintain excellent customer relations, ensuring timely invoicing and accurate documentation.
  • Manage multiple priorities, delegate tasks, and motivate individuals to achieve team goals.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and local authorities governing requirements, maintaining a safe working environment.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of five years of experience in refrigeration installation and supervision.
  • Technical college diploma or certificate in refrigeration.
  • Valid driver's license and safe driving record.
  • Ability to work nights and weekends as required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, leadership, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
