Lead Financial Due Diligence for M&A Transactions

KPMG Canada is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Manager, Transaction Services to join our dynamic Deal Advisory team in Toronto.

In this role, you will play a pivotal part in guiding clients through complex mergers and acquisitions (M&A) transactions by providing comprehensive financial due diligence services.

  • Core Responsibilities:
  • Lead and supervise the execution of financial due diligence engagements for M&A transactions, encompassing a wide range of industries and deal sizes.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of target companies' financial statements, business models, and operational performance to identify key risks and opportunities.
  • Develop insightful reports and presentations that clearly communicate findings and recommendations to clients and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including lawyers, accountants, and industry specialists, to ensure a seamless transaction process.
  • Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.

Your Qualifications:

  • CPA/CA designation or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
  • 7+ years of proven experience in financial due diligence within the Transaction Services industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in relevant accounting software and financial modeling tools.
