Job Summary

Accoravillage is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Project Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for conceptualizing and executing mechanical projects from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Design and Coordination: Prepare concept designs, complete load calculations, schematics, equipment selection, and system concept reports.
  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including consultants and architects, to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Contract Document Preparation: Develop contract documents, including specifications, to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Site Visits and Field Reviews: Conduct site visits during the construction phase and work with the field review team to ensure ASHRAE compliance and LEED standards are met.
  • Project Management and Reporting: Provide regular status reports to the Project Manager and escalate resource issues as needed.
  • Business Development: Assist in sourcing new work and maintaining existing client relationships.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Post-secondary education in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, with 5+ years of experience in engineering and design coordination.
  • Professional Certifications: Professional Engineering Designation (P.Eng.) or eligibility for licensing in the Province of Alberta, Ontario, or British Columbia.
  • Technical Skills: Working knowledge of AutoCAD and REVIT, with comprehensive knowledge of current engineering principles and practices.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
