Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse - Mental Health and Addiction Treatment

Job Summary:

Edgewood Health Network Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our interdisciplinary team. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals struggling with mental health and addiction issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients to identify their mental health and addiction needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to address client needs and promote recovery.
  • Administer medications and provide guidance to clients and their families.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Provide supportive counseling to clients and their families to address recovery issues.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse program with pharmacological training.
  • Current registration with the Nova Scotia College of Nursing.
  • Experience working in a mental health and addiction treatment setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
