Position: Registered Practical Nurse - Full Time

The Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) plays a crucial role in enhancing the management and quality of nursing practices in accordance with established standards and internal care policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivering outstanding care to residents while adhering to established protocols and physician directives.
  • Monitoring, documenting, and reporting vital signs, symptoms, and resident conditions, and taking appropriate health measures when necessary.
  • Coordinating and overseeing activities related to resident care.
  • Assisting in the supervision of nursing and personal care staff.
  • Facilitating the training and professional growth of new team members, escalating concerns to the Director of Care.

Qualifications

  • Current certificate of competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and French is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • A genuine passion for providing care to seniors.
  • Registered or eligible for registration with the Registered Practical Nurses Association of Ontario.
  • Previous experience in long-term care is beneficial, with a solid understanding of relevant duties.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, prioritizing tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Creative problem-solving abilities to view situations holistically.
