About the Role:

Southbridge Care Homes is seeking a skilled Registered Practical Nurse to join our team in a Full Time capacity. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in enhancing the effective management and quality of nursing practice in our long-term care facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional resident care while adhering to established protocols and physician orders.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, symptoms, and conditions of residents, and initiate remedial health measures as necessary.
  • Organize and direct functions and activities related to the provision of care to residents.
  • Assist in the management of nursing and personal care staff.
  • Train and develop new staff members, referring concerns to the Director of Care.

Requirements:

  • Current certificate of competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Bilingualism in English and French is an asset but not required.
  • A passion for caring for seniors and a commitment to delivering high-quality care.
  • Registration/eligibility for registration with the Registered Practical Nurses Association of Ontario.
  • Previous experience in long-term care is an asset, with comprehensive knowledge of duties.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, prioritizing tasks in order of urgency.
  • Excellent communication and comprehension skills.
  • Developed problem-solving skills to address complex care situations.
