Key Responsibilities- Coordinate purchasing activities with manufacturing and engineering departments to acquire inventory.
- Acquire and maintain technical understanding of products purchased, monitor cost, schedule, and scope of assigned subcontracts to ensure highest quality at best value.
- Perform cost analysis and volume planning for major commodities.
- Recommend cost-saving proposals, including make-versus-buy analysis, alternative sourcing, and vendor evaluation criteria.
- Obtain materials, components, equipment, and services while ensuring security and accountability of inventory through transaction documentation, process, and procedure verification, and system review.
- Bachelor's Degree in business or related field.
- Legal authorization to work in Canada is required.
- APICS Certification.
- Demonstrates core knowledge in production control, materials, planning, MRP, and procurement.
- Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
- Proficient in Excel.
- Working knowledge of purchasing/procurement procedures.
