About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technical Assistant to join our team at Shoppers Drug Mart #2201. As a Pharmacy Technical Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy of prescription information and providing support to our pharmacists.

Key Responsibilities
  • Education and Training
    • Assist in maintaining accurate records of customer education and training
  • Pharmacy Operations
    • Prepare medications for clients in a timely and accurate manner
    • Ensure that all pharmacy operations are conducted in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Customer Service
    • Provide excellent customer service to clients, responding to their inquiries and concerns in a professional and courteous manner
  • Work Environment
    • Work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively to meet deadlines
    • Collaborate with other team members to achieve common goals and objectives
  • Physical Demands
    • Stand for extended periods, moving frequently between the pharmacy and other areas of the store
    • Use manual dexterity to prepare medications and perform other tasks
Requirements
  • Education
    • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience
    • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a pharmacy or related field
  • Language
    • Fluent in English, both written and verbal
  • Work Schedule
    • 35 to 40 hours per week, including evenings and weekends
