Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Analyst to join our team at PointClickCare. As a key member of our Legal and Compliance team, you will play a vital role in driving significant initiatives and projects that impact our company, our clients, and other stakeholders.

Your primary responsibilities will include identifying, analyzing, and simplifying compliance requirements relevant to our operations across different regions. You will be essential in evaluating, adjusting, and implementing compliance and privacy policies, procedures, and training programs. Your insights will support informed decision-making by our leadership.

Your primary focus will be on privacy regulations related to Protected Health Information (PHI) and other privacy laws affecting our operations. In addition to policy development, you will also handle daily compliance issues and inquiries both internally and externally.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and Update Compliance Policies: Assist in creating and refining compliance policies, controls, and training materials to ensure our company's operations align with regulatory requirements.
  • Identify and Document Privacy Risks: Identify and document privacy risks, policy gaps, and exceptions to ensure our company's compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Stay Informed about Regulatory Changes: Stay up-to-date with regulatory changes and assess their impact on our operations to ensure we remain compliant.
  • Collaborate with Teams: Collaborate with various departments to ensure consistency in privacy practices and ensure our company's operations align with regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with Privacy Assessments: Assist in responding to privacy assessments and questionnaires to ensure our company's compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Analyze Privacy Implications: Analyze the privacy implications of security incidents and ensure our company's operations align with regulatory requirements.
  • Align Data Practices: Work on aligning data practices with privacy policies to ensure our company's compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Conduct Third-Party Assessments: Conduct privacy assessments of third-party providers to ensure our company's compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Assist with Data Requests: Assist with data requests to ensure our company's compliance with relevant regulations.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience: 2-4 years of relevant experience in compliance, regulatory affairs, or a related field.
  • Skills: Strong organization and communication skills, project management skills, analytical and problem-solving skills, and strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Preferred Certifications: CIPP, CIPM, or other relevant certifications.
  • Familiarity with Canadian Privacy Laws: Familiarity with Canadian privacy laws and regulations.
  • Experience in SaaS or Health Information Exchange: Experience in SaaS or health information exchange is an asset.
