Pharmacy Technician

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to support our pharmacy operations at Onedersquad. The Pharmacy Technician will play a crucial role in assisting pharmacists by managing medication dispensing, inventory control, and providing exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities include:
- Conduct daily exchanges of medication carts for inpatients.
- Manage the inventory of automated dispensing cabinets.
- Track expiry dates and remove expired products for disposal, destruction, or return, in line with pharmacy policies and manufacturer protocols.
- Pre-pack medications, including narcotics and controlled substances.
- Maintain the stock of emergency medication trays.
- Monitor stock levels, initiate procurement processes promptly, and adhere to legislation and contractual obligations.
- Determine the appropriate purchase quantities based on inventory control principles and available storage space.
- Receive and verify shipments, follow up on back orders, and address any outstanding issues.
- Perform best possible medication history with patients to facilitate medication reconciliation.
Requirements
- Completion of a recognized college-level pharmacy assistant or technician program required.
- Registration as a pharmacy technician with the relevant regulatory body.
- Active involvement in ongoing education and professional development.
- 2-3 years of experience in pharmacy operations.
- Proficiency in pharmacy computer software and inventory management systems.
- Strong knowledge of proper handling techniques for pharmaceuticals.
- Familiarity with pharmacy operations and procedures.
- Strong skills in pharmaceutical calculations.
- Knowledge of computerized material management and inventory control procedures.
- Satisfactory employment and attendance record required.
