Key Responsibilities
  • Sweep, mop, scrub and wax hallways, floors and stairs to ensure a clean and safe environment for residents.
  • Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris and other refuse, maintaining a tidy and well-maintained property.
  • Empty trash cans and other waste containers, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Wash windows, interior walls and ceilings to maintain a clean and well-maintained property.
  • Perform minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs.
  • Contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment, ensuring timely and efficient resolution of issues.
  • Perform safety and security checks to ensure the property is secure and well-maintained.
  • Move heavy furniture, equipment and supplies, demonstrating physical ability and stamina.
  • Perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair, contributing to the overall maintenance of the property.
  • Water and tend to plants, lawns and/or gardens, enhancing the aesthetic appeal of the property.
  • Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas, ensuring safe access for residents.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience an asset, but not required.
  • Ability to work under pressure and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Physical ability to handle heavy loads and work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Flexibility, initiative, and reliability.
  • Steel-toed safety boots and other necessary equipment.

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment, requiring attention to detail and ability to multitask.
