About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team at SSR Mining's Seabee Gold Operation. As a key member of our Maintenance team, you will be responsible for providing mechanical support and expertise to our underground and surface operations.

As a Heavy Duty Mechanic, you will work closely with our Maintenance team to ensure the smooth operation of our equipment and facilities. Your technical knowledge and practical skills will be essential in maintaining and repairing our heavy-duty equipment, ensuring that our operations run safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty equipment, including Alimak lifts and other specialized machinery.
  • Conduct thorough inspections to identify potential issues and implement preventative maintenance measures.
  • Collaborate with the Maintenance team to develop and implement maintenance schedules and plans.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior mechanics and other team members.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance processes and equipment performance.

Requirements:

  • Interprovincial Heavy Duty trade certification (Technical mechanical diploma will be considered).
  • Minimum two-three (2-3) years' experience in heavy-duty equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Alimak experience an asset.

Working Conditions:

This is a fly-in/fly-out position with a 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off schedule. You will be required to fly in and out of our remote camp, with pick-up points in Saskatoon, Prince Albert, and La Ronge.
