Bakery Assistant Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Bakery Assistant to join our team at Dawson City General Store Ltd. As a key member of our bakery team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and assisting with the preparation and display of baked goods.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with purchases, answering questions, and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Store Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized store environment by restocking shelves, sweeping and mopping floors, and performing other tasks as needed.
  • Bakery Operations: Assist with the preparation and display of baked goods, including frosting and decorating cakes and pastries.
  • Order Fulfillment: Process customer orders in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring that customers receive their purchases in a satisfactory condition.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a retail or bakery environment
  • Language: English
  • Work Hours: 35 to 40 hours per week
Work Environment:

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on providing excellent customer service. The bakery is a physically demanding environment, requiring the ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy loads, and perform repetitive tasks.
