Position: Yard Truck Operator

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Yard Truck Operator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of trailers within our yard facility.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate daily movement logs and perform routine preventative maintenance inspections on equipment.
  • Safely position and secure trailers using a shunt truck, ensuring proper placement at designated docks.
  • Contribute to maintaining a clean, organized, and safe working environment within the yard area.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while operating equipment and handling cargo.
  • Assist in monitoring inventory management practices, including First-In, First-Out (FIFO) procedures.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Valid Class 1 Driver's License with shunt truck experience preferred.
  • Successful completion of a yard truck operator evaluation.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum one year of driving experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Wage: $28.60 per hour
