Mapei Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Mechanic Millwright to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our plant's equipment.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- **Equipment Repair and Maintenance**: Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of plant equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- **Preventive and Predictive Maintenance**: Conduct regular inspections and maintenance tasks to prevent equipment failures and reduce the risk of accidents.
- **Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving**: Identify and resolve mechanical and electrical problems using your expertise and knowledge of electro-mechanical components.
- **Welding and Cutting**: Perform basic welding and cutting tasks to repair and maintain equipment.
- **Project Management**: Take charge of projects and complete them with minimal supervision, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
- **Inventory Management**: Organize and maintain stock of spare parts, and maintain accurate records for inventory control.
- **Safety and Hygiene**: Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to health and safety regulations, and maintaining good housekeeping practices.
- **Collaboration and Communication**: Work effectively with colleagues and supervisors to achieve team goals and objectives.
- **Continuous Learning**: Stay up-to-date with new technologies and techniques to improve your skills and knowledge.
**Requirements:**
- **Education**: High School Degree and 5 years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic.
- **Certifications**: Millwright license and/or electrician certificate.
- **Skills**: Knowledge of various mechanical constituents (pneumatic, hydraulic, etc.), experience in PLC, computer literacy to work with CMMS, good mathematics and mechanic skills, logic abilities, coordination and dexterity, leadership and autonomy, analytical capacity, sense of initiative, time and priorities management, perseverance, and ability to work under pressure.
