Project Manager Job Description

BA Blacktop Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to join our Operations Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the construction and execution of assigned projects, ensuring timely completion, and maintaining a high level of quality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets in collaboration with the Operations Team.
  • Coordinate with Superintendents, Project Coordinators, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Monitor and control project costs, resources, and timelines to ensure budget goals are achieved.
  • Prepare and submit progress reports, payment requests, and other project-related documentation.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues, and develop contingency plans as needed.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective communication and resource allocation.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in road and bridge construction project management.
  • Strong understanding of project management principles, methodologies, and tools.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of Primavera or MS Project, and other project management software.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Registration as a PMP or P. Eng.
  • Experience with T&I Contract format.
