Key Responsibilities- Troubleshoot and Inspect Equipment: Identify and diagnose faults and malfunctions in heavy-duty equipment, using computerized and other testing equipment to determine the extent of repair required.
- Perform Repairs and Maintenance: Adjust equipment, repair or replace defective parts, and perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure equipment is in good working condition.
- Order Parts and Maintain Inventory: Source and procure necessary parts and materials, and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Test and Inspect Repaired Equipment: Verify that repaired equipment meets manufacturers' specifications and is safe for operation.
- Collaborate with Colleagues: Work closely with other maintenance personnel to ensure seamless equipment operation and minimize downtime.
- Education and Certifications: Possess a valid Air Brake (Z) Endorsement and Heavy-Duty Equipment Technician Red Seal Endorsement.
- Experience and Skills: Minimum 3 years of experience in heavy-duty equipment maintenance, with a strong understanding of diesel engine repair and mechanical maintenance.
- Physical Demands: Be able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs), stand for extended periods, and work in a physically demanding environment.
