Job Description

Centre for Addiction and Mental Health is seeking a full-time, temporary Dietitian to work with diverse patient populations, including both youth and adults, with mental health and addictions issues on acute care and rehabilitation inpatient units. Reporting directly to the Director of Interprofessional Practice, Standards and Measurement, you will provide nutrition education and support to clients at the Queen Street site. You will work closely with all members of the interprofessional team and offer support to Nutrition and Food Services staff to provide optimal nutritional care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and facilitate nutrition education sessions for the program
  • Assess client's nutritional needs from both subjective and objective data
  • Formulate, implement and evaluate clients' care plan
  • Counsel individual clients as required
  • Consult with clinical staff in rounds and team reviews, and in the planning and delivery of client care
  • Maintain appropriate documentation
Requirements
  • Successful completion of a comprehensive dietetic internship from a Dietitians of Canada accredited program or equivalent and/or Master's Degree in Nutrition
  • Licensed and registered in good standing with the College of Dietitians of Ontario
  • Minimum of 2 years clinical experience
  • Strong interpersonal and group facilitation skills
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) combined with computer skills in MS Office
