Job Summary

This is a clerical/secretarial support position within the Development, Projects and Right-of-Way Division of the City of Windsor. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to all staff within the division, including reception, telephone inquiries, typing reports and correspondence, minute taking, data entry, and maintenance of office equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clerical support to all staff within the Development, Projects and Right-of-Way Division
  • Perform reception duties, including answering telephone inquiries and redirecting mail/courier correspondence
  • Typing reports and correspondence, minute taking, and data entry for accounts payable
  • Maintain office equipment and supplies, and coordinate meetings
  • Responsible for the maintenance of the Development, Projects, and Right-of-Way file system, including active and completed/archived records
  • Perform Occupational Health & Safety duties as outlined in the Corporation's Health and Safety Program
Qualifications
  • Ontario Secondary School Graduation Diploma or Ontario Ministry of Education equivalency
  • Ability to travel to off-site locations in a timely and expedient manner, with a valid driver's license if required
  • Minimum of 50 wpm typing
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Initiative and ability to work with minimal direction
