About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Glass Installation Specialist to join our team at A.J. Services Inc. as a Glazier.

Key Responsibilities
  • Determine the type of glass, frames, and materials required for each installation project.
  • Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to understand the work requirements and ensure accurate installation.
  • Measure, mark, and cut glass to precise specifications.
  • Position and secure panes in frames to ensure a secure and watertight seal.
  • Assemble and install prefabricated glass, mirrors, or glass products in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Install door, window, and other hardware to complete the installation.
  • Instruct apprentices on the installation process and provide guidance on best practices.
  • Repair glass doors and other glass structures to ensure they are safe and functional.
  • Assemble, erect, and dismantle scaffolding, rigging, and hoisting equipment as needed for the installation.
  • Transport cases of glass to and from the installation site.
  • Work in a commercial, residential, or installation setting as required by the project.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the glazing industry or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills to work effectively with colleagues and clients.
  • Physical ability to lift and move heavy materials and work at heights.
