Job Summary

Decent Glass Inc. is seeking a skilled Glass Wall Installation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for installing glass walls and other glass products in commercial and industrial settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Determine the type of glass, frames, and materials required for each installation
  • Measure, mark, and cut glass to ensure precise fits
  • Position and secure panes in frames, ensuring a secure and watertight seal
  • Prepare tenders and quotations for clients
  • Assemble and install prefabricated glass, mirrors, or glass products
  • Install door, window, and other hardware
  • Instruct apprentices on proper installation techniques
  • Prepare shop drawings and specifications for clients
  • Repair glass doors and other glass structures
  • Assemble, erect, and dismantle scaffolding, rigging, and hoisting equipment
  • Supervise other workers on site
  • Transport cases of glass to and from job sites
  • Estimate costs and materials for each installation
  • Operate CADD and other computer software systems
  • Work at heights, on scaffolding, or swing stages
  • Work from man-lift mobile equipment, cranes, and other lifting equipment
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications
Requirements
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in glass installation
  • Permanent employment
  • English language proficiency
  • 35 to 40 hours of work per week
