Job Title: Web Designer

We are seeking a highly skilled Web Designer to join our team. As a Web Designer, you will be responsible for designing and developing visually appealing and user-friendly websites that meet our clients' requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Develop Websites: Create visually stunning and user-friendly websites that meet our clients' requirements.
  • Develop Website Architecture: Design and develop the architecture of our websites to ensure they are scalable, secure, and meet our clients' needs.
  • Document Technical Requirements: Document the technical requirements of our websites to ensure that they meet our clients' needs and are easy to maintain.
  • Design and Develop Information Systems: Design and develop information systems that meet our clients' needs and are easy to use.
  • Provide Advice on Information Systems Strategy: Provide advice on information systems strategy to our clients to ensure they are getting the most out of their technology investments.
  • Source and Organize Information: Source and organize information for our websites to ensure they are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Create and Optimize Content: Create and optimize content for our websites to ensure they are engaging and easy to use.
  • Develop Policies and Procedures: Develop policies and procedures to ensure our websites are secure and meet our clients' needs.
  • Lead and Coordinate Teams: Lead and coordinate teams to develop our websites and ensure they meet our clients' needs.
  • Conduct Quality Assurance Reviews: Conduct quality assurance reviews to ensure our websites meet our clients' needs and are easy to use.
Computer and Technology Knowledge:
  • Adobe Illustrator: Proficient in using Adobe Illustrator to create visual designs.
  • Adobe Photoshop: Proficient in using Adobe Photoshop to edit and enhance images.
  • HTML: Proficient in using HTML to develop websites.
  • CSS: Proficient in using CSS to style and layout websites.
  • Web Service Design: Proficient in designing web services that meet our clients' needs.
  • MS Office: Proficient in using MS Office to create and edit documents.
  • MS Windows: Proficient in using MS Windows to develop and test websites.
  • Adobe XD: Proficient in using Adobe XD to design and prototype websites.

  • Supports Foreign Credential Recognition: Supports newcomers and refugees with foreign credential recognition.
  • Offers Mentorship Programs: Offers mentorship programs that pair newcomers and refugees with experienced employees.
  • Provides Diversity and Cross-Cultural Training: Provides diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and refugees.
  • Does Not Require Canadian Work Experience: Does not require Canadian work experience.
Support for Veterans:
  • Participates in Government or Community Programs: Participates in government or community programs that support Veterans.
  • Offers Mentorship, Coaching, and Networking Opportunities: Offers mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for Veterans.
  • Provides Awareness Training: Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for Veterans.
  • Recruits Veterans: Recruits Veterans and other candidates with military experience through targeted hiring initiatives.
  • Assists with Immediate Transition Needs: Assists with immediate transition needs of Veterans, such as relocation and housing.
  • Offers Workshops, Counselling Services, and Resources: Offers workshops, counselling services, and other resources to help Veterans navigate their transition into the civilian workforce.
  • Supports Veterans in Translating Military Skills: Supports Veterans in translating their military skills and experience into the language of the civilian job market.
  • Offers Flexible Onboarding Options: Offers flexible onboarding options to allow Veterans to gradually adapt to the civilian workplace.
Support for Indigenous People:
  • Participates in Government or Community Programs: Participates in government or community programs that support Indigenous people.
  • Offers Mentorship, Coaching, and Networking Opportunities: Offers mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for Indigenous workers.
  • Develops and Maintains Relationships: Develops and maintains relationships with Indigenous communities, Indigenous-owned businesses, and organizations.
  • Provides Cultural Competency Training: Provides cultural competency training and awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
  • Facilitates Access to Elders: Facilitates access to Elders who can offer support and guidance to Indigenous workers.
Support for Mature Workers:
  • Participates in Government or Community Programs: Participates in government or community programs that support mature workers.

  • Offers Phased Retirement Options: Offers phased retirement options that allow mature workers to gradually reduce their workload.
  • Offers Phased Re-entry Options: Offers phased re-entry options for mature workers who are returning to work after retiring.
  • Provides Workspace Accommodations: Provides workspace accommodations, such as age-appropriate ergonomic considerations, to meet the physical needs of mature workers.
  • Offers Resources for Retirement Planning: Offers resources to help mature workers plan their retirement.
Support for Visible Minorities:
