Job Title: Web Development Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Web Development Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing and integrating website-related code, developing website architecture, and ensuring that our products and services meet business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Integration: Design and integrate website-related code to ensure seamless functionality and user experience.
  • Website Architecture: Develop website architecture to meet business requirements and ensure scalability and maintainability.
  • Technical Requirements: Document technical requirements to ensure that products, processes, and solutions meet business requirements.
  • Information Systems: Design, develop, and implement information systems business solutions to meet business needs.
  • Advice and Guidance: Provide advice on information systems strategy, policy, management, and service delivery to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Content Creation: Create and optimize content for the website using a variety of graphics, database, animation, and other software.
  • Security and Compliance: Develop policies, procedures, and contingency plans to minimize the effects of security breaches and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams to develop website graphics, content, capacity, and interactivity.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct reviews to assess quality assurance practices, software products, and information systems to ensure alignment with business objectives.
Requirements:
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, HTML, CSS, web service design, MS Office, and MS Windows.
  • Personal Qualities: Organized, team player, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in web development and related fields.
Support for Newcomers and Refugees:
  • Partnerships: Participate in government or community programs or initiatives that support newcomers and refugees.
  • Settlement Support: Assist with immediate settlement needs of newcomers and refugees, such as housing, transportation, and storage.
  • Integration Support: Support social and labor market integration of newcomers and refugees, such as facilitating access to community resources, language training, and skills training.
Support for Veterans:
  • Partnerships: Participate in government or community programs or initiatives that support Veterans.
  • Mentorship: Offer mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for Veterans.
  • Awareness Training: Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for Veterans.
Support for Indigenous People:
  • Partnerships: Participate in government or community programs or initiatives that support Indigenous people.
  • Mentorship: Offer mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for Indigenous workers.
  • Cultural Competency: Provide cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
