About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Cafeteria Supervisor to join our team at SNB Ferry Cafe. As a key member of our food service team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our cafeteria, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining a clean and safe environment for our staff and customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Service Management
    • Establish and implement efficient food preparation and service methods to meet the needs of our customers.
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of our food service staff, ensuring they are trained in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures.
    • Estimate and manage food and supply inventory to ensure quality and freshness.
  • Customer Service
    • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a welcoming and inclusive environment for all.
    • Respond to customer feedback and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Team Management
    • Train and develop our food service staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.
    • Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to staff.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Maintain accurate records of food inventory, sales, and waste.
    • Monitor and control food costs, ensuring we are operating within budget.
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in a food service management role.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field an asset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods.
