About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at 21 Steps kitchen + bar. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading the kitchen and ensuring that our high standards of quality and service are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Execution
    • Develop and implement menus that showcase our culinary expertise and meet the tastes and preferences of our customers.
    • Plan and execute menu items, including determining portion sizes and costs.
  • Team Leadership
    • Supervise and train kitchen staff, including cooks, sous chefs, and other support staff.
    • Develop and implement training programs to ensure that staff are equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.
  • Inventory Management
    • Manage inventory levels and ensure that all necessary supplies and equipment are on hand.
    • Develop and implement systems to minimize waste and optimize inventory levels.
  • Cleanliness and Safety
    • Ensure that the kitchen and all equipment are clean and well-maintained.
    • Develop and implement systems to ensure that all safety protocols are followed.
Requirements
  • Education
    • No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • Experience
    • At least 1 year of experience as a cook or in a related role.
  • Work Setting
    • Restaurant or similar fast-paced food service environment.
  • Language
    • English is the primary language spoken in this role.
