Job Summary
The Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA) is seeking a Division Head to provide leadership to the clinical and academic services to the Division of Pediatric Cardiology.
About the Division
The Division of Pediatric Cardiology is a provincial resource, providing care to the most critically ill patients in British Columbia. The Division consists of eight full-time members, with three regional partners, and is a full-service pediatric cardiology program, including fetal diagnostic cardiology, catheterization, and electrophysiology.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership to the clinical and academic services to the Division of Pediatric Cardiology
- Support excellence in the delivery of care to children across the province of British Columbia
- Work with the Provincial Health Services Authority to plan and develop clinical services for children and youth in BC
- Mentor and support the growth and career development of faculty and trainees
- Collaborate with allied health and nursing partners, and scientists
Requirements
- Eligibility to obtain a specialist's license to practice in British Columbia
- Completed a recognized training program in cardiology
- Passed or eligible for the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada examinations in pediatrics or comparable qualifications
- Recommended for an academic appointment to the Department of Pediatrics, University of British Columbia at the rank of Clinical Associate Professor or Clinical Professor
