The Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Division Head to lead the clinical and academic services of the Division of Pediatric Cardiology at BC Children's Hospital and the University of British Columbia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership to the clinical and academic services of the Division of Pediatric Cardiology
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to advance the Division's clinical and academic programs
  • Collaborate with the Provincial Health Services Authority and the University of British Columbia to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives
  • Lead a team of clinicians and researchers to deliver high-quality patient care and advance the field of pediatric cardiology
  • Develop and manage budgets and resources to support the Division's programs and services
  • Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including patients, families, clinicians, and researchers
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in pediatric cardiology and apply this knowledge to improve patient care and advance the field

Requirements

  • MD or equivalent degree
  • Completion of a recognized training program in pediatrics and cardiology
  • Eligibility for licensure to practice medicine in British Columbia
  • Experience in leadership and management roles in a clinical or academic setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
