Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facilities Operations Manager to join our team at Trans-United Consultants Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of our facilities, ensuring they are in optimum working order.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the maintenance of all fixed assets, buildings, and grounds to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Coordinate and execute preventative and energy repairs and upkeep of buildings, ensuring they are energy-efficient and compliant with regulations.
  • Ensure that all support equipment is operating efficiently and as designed, and perform routine inspections to identify any issues.
  • Manage waste, recyclables, and hazardous materials, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Maintain building security systems, including access control and surveillance systems.
  • Manage lawn care and snow removal services, ensuring our facilities are well-maintained and safe.
  • Oversee parking lot maintenance, including snow removal and repair.
  • Manage janitorial services contracts, ensuring our facilities are clean and hygienic.
  • Manage drinking water services and contracts, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Ensure City Permits for all buildings are obtained in a timely manner, and that fire safety equipment is compliant with Fire Code.
  • Perform scheduled inspections, including monthly JHSC inspections, annual site evaluations, health and safety audits, and preventative maintenance, to ensure all equipment is in good repair and working order.
  • Ensure eye wash stations and First Aid kits are compliant, and liaise with outside contractors to ensure compliance with building rules and regulations.
  • Review invoices and expenditures to ensure spending is within planned budget allocations, and review unbudgeted expenses with the Director of Operations prior to incurring them.
  • Provide technical or administrative advice to internal and external clients, ensuring they receive high-quality support.
