About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Custodial Support Specialist to join our team at School District #62 (Sooke). As a key member of our facilities team, you will play a vital role in maintaining a safe and clean learning environment for our students and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in creating a safe and clean learning environment by performing various custodial tasks, including cleaning, disinfecting, and maintaining facilities.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure that facilities are well-maintained and meet the needs of our students and staff.
  • Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to requests and concerns from students, staff, and visitors.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge in custodial services.

  • A competitive hourly rate of $30.30 per hour.
  • Three weeks' vacation to start, based on the terms outlined in the current CUPE Local 459 Collective Agreement.

Requirements
  • Completion of secondary school and preferably completion of a recognized Building Service Worker (BSW) Level 1 course.
  • Up to three months' cleaning experience or one year's experience in a related environment of cleaning.
