About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Transmission and Distribution Lines Engineer to join our team at BBA Consultants. As a key member of our Transmission and Distribution Lines team, you will be responsible for designing efficient and reliable transmission and distribution lines, leading technical projects, and ensuring that projects are completed on schedule, on budget, and meet quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and produce engineering documents for transmission and distribution line projects
- Lead a team responsible for designing efficient and reliable lines
- Serve as a technical project leader or manager, ensuring that the project is on schedule, on budget, and meets quality standards
- Prepare PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE models
- Design support structures and foundations for transmission and distribution lines
- Supervise inspection of existing lines and produce required reports
- Support and supervise the quality of the work of engineers, technicians, and drafters
- Prepare proposals, studies, cost estimates, reports, and plans and specifications
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- At least 10 years of experience in transmission and distribution lines
- Relevant structural experience
- Technical writing skills
- Knowledge of the PLS-CADD suite
- Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec
- Bilingual (English and French)
